Mike Myers Visits Occupy Wall Street

Posted: 10/12/11 12:45 PM ET

Every morning, as I cruise through my usual social media stops, I've seen polarizing takes on Occupy Wall Street (I'm from Texas after all). Visit YouTube and you'll see contrasting versions depending on whom the videographer decides to speak with.

This morning, I discovered one of the best videos thus far. It was shot by N9 Productions and it captures some very interesting characters, including actor Mike Myers. He appears in the video shortly after the Wall Street executive calls a OWS participant a "monkey".

One of the reasons people are gathering at Wall street is because it is the center of money making. The movement is trying to draw attention to itself. What better place? There may be some people who don't understand how Wall Street works but that does not negate their right to peaceably assemble and make their grievances known. People are hurting, they need jobs, health care, housing, just to name a few. So, wall street makes a lot of sense to me.
