WASHINGTON (The Borowitz Report) - In a bombshell that could dramatically impact the raging debate over health care, House Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) today admitted that he had allowed his eight-year-old son to shape the Republican health care plan.
"This is what happens when the kids are home from school," a sheepish Boehner told reporters at the Capitol.
According to the congressman, Mr. Boehner's eight-year-old son Zach was taking part in a "Bring Your Kid to Work Day" in January and wound up dictating the GOP's opposition to the Democratic health care plan.
The news about Zach Boehner's key role in the health care debate comes on the heels of the news that a nine-year-old girl at the air tower at JFK diverted an Aeromexico 767 to a Justin Bieber concert. More here.
