Just moments after former presidential candidate John Edwards endorsed Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill) for president, Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) vowed to "continue the fight" for Edwards' endorsement.
"My friends, I will fight for the endorsement of John Edwards, even if it takes all summer," she told supporters in Louisville, Kentucky. "I have not begun to fight for this endorsement!"
The New York senator appeared to brush off Mr. Edwards' endorsement of Sen. Obama, saying, "I don't know what that has to do with anything."
While Sen. Clinton acknowledged that Sen. Edwards had made a joint appearance with Sen. Obama in which he endorsed the Illinois senator, she said, "If you think that's going to make me give up trying to get John Edwards' endorsement, you've got another thing coming."
She said that she was also "unconcerned" that Sen. Edwards had recently gotten a new phone number and not shared it with her.
"Anyone who believes that I'm going to be deterred by an obstacle like that doesn't know what I'm made of," she said. "Mark my words, I am going to get that endorsement."
Sen. Clinton's aides refused to comment on her quest for Edwards' endorsement, saying that they were too busy hiding copies of this week's Time magazine from her.

Such Clintonian arrogance.
"If you think that's going to make me give up trying to get John Edwards' endorsement, you've got another thing coming." Clinton said. "Mark my words, I am going to get that endorsement."

You do understand that this is a joke, right?
This Dem. primary has proved one thing: That Racism is alive and well.

... and from a reliable source, Hillary is working hard to clinch the coveted endorsement of Eliot Spitzer, New York's former top crime fighter, governor, call-girl chaser.
In a related event, Arizona Senator John McCain announced that he too was looking forward to John Edwards' endorsement. When informed that the Edwards giving the endorsement was the former Democratic Senator from North Carolina and not John Edward, the television psychic, McCain replied that he had misspoken. What he really meant was that he was looking forward to Senator Clinton's endorsement. Said McCain, "I corrected it immediately. I corrected my comment immediately. But to think I would have some lack of knowledge about Senators and Psychics after my deep involvement in this issue is a bit ludicrous."
Does HRC have problems hearing or reading the truth as our current president does. Edwards came out tonight and endorsed Barack Obama. How can she fight for an endorsement for a delegate that has already been given to someone else? She has truly won the delegates from the state of denial. She can run for governor of W Va, since she is so popular there.
LAMO
I did hear that the stages of grief are 1) Denial and 2) LOSE YOUR MIND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clearly, there is no gravity on Planet Clinton.
I'm curious what color the sky is.
I did hear that the steps of grief are 1) denial and 2) LOSE YOUR MIND!!!!!!!!!
She's completely out of her mind. What else can be said?
Ypur're joking, right? I sure hope so...otherwise, I think they need to get out the 'white coats' for Clinton - NOW!
Fellow Americans:
It was interesting to hear Senator Edwards’s speech that praised presidential candidate Hillary Clinton and what a great President she would make then to copy her ideas and the issues that she so strongly believes in after her winning the WV primaries by such a large margin against Obama. Panic definitely set in on the Obama side and this was their trump card, knowing that Senator Edwards sent out a plea to get rid of his heavy debts that he has incurred and with a promise of maybe he could be the next Vice President if Obama won. Senator Edwards 19 delegates that he won during his campaign was a leverage that he could use to have Obama accept his endorsement also Senator Edwards had no choice as he had to withdraw from the original election due to Hillary winning over democrats and he had no choice as Obama will pay his outstanding debts.
This comment by Hillary almost eclipses her last night's story about the "dead woman vote." The Clinton's tastelessness has no bounds.
Did she mean "I have not yet begun to fight for this nomination?"
I'm confused.
