In an admission that seems guaranteed to create more controversy, Gov. Mark Sanford of South Carolina today informed his wife Jenny that he travels through time.
"As a time-traveler, it's sometimes necessary for me to disappear for years on end," Gov. Sanford told reporters at a press conference at the state capitol. "I think Jenny took the news surprisingly well, but that's the kind of lady she is."
Gov. Sanford said he hoped to spend more time with his family, "as soon as I can figure out where they are."
He told reporters that his next scheduled press conference will be in 1892. More here.
