In just the past six month, Vice has become "one of the biggest newscasts in the country and possibly the world," says Vice SVP for sales Brian Dietz in this segment on Beet.TV. Dietz tells our Ashley Swartz that Vice news has some 650K subscribers on YouTube and has had 70 million videos viewed since its March launch. Also in the interview Dietz speaks about the monetization opportunities for brands around its content.

This week, news reports have Vice raising investment dollars from cable programmer A&E which would value the Brooklyn-based media start-up at $2.5 billion.

Dietz as a panelist on a Beet.TV summit on brand marketing earlier this month. We have republished the video with this weekend's news.
