Wibbitz, a Tel Aviv-based startup, which has developed a text-to-video solution, has raised $2.3 million, its first venture round, from Hong Kong-based Horizon Ventures, the investment fund of billionaire Li Ka-shing.
The Wibbitz technology allows publishers to convert text content into multimedia "videos" on the fly. These videos can then be published on the web and various connected devices.
We spoke with Wibbitz CEO Zohar Dayan about the company and its solution at our March conference in Vieques, Puerto Rico. We have republished that interview today.
