The power button is now certainly a mainstay in our beauty routine. From sonic technology face scrubbers to electrical devices designed to blast away blemishes with concentrated heat, gone are the days when you were free from power cords and batteries to keep your healthy glow.

Newest to the market? An electric-powered teeth-whitening device you can store in your pocket. We're definitely intrigued. GLO Science™ is introducing GLO | Brilliant Personal Teeth Whitening Device™ ($275) starting today on HSN.com.

GLO Brilliant is the first tooth-whitening device to use both heat and light to accelerate the process. Unlike the plastic strips and "paint on and go" varieties at the drugstore, GLO uses a mouthpiece containing a molded flexible circuit with activating light and heat that, when placed into your mouth, accelerates the whitening gel on your teeth.

This closed system prevents the whitening oxygen actives from escaping and the claim is that the device whitens teeth without causing sensitivity. The stay-put, alcohol-free gel, uses a delivery system that precisely adheres to each tooth and won't leak onto gums or soft tissue (the main culprits for pain and sensitivity).

Recommendation: GLO Brilliant should be used for three to five days in a row with each full session lasting a full 32 minutes (four eight-minute applications in a row). Ongoing maintenance, involves one eight-minute application per week. Each GLO Brilliant Whitening Gel, or G-Vials, contains enough gel for four eight-minute whitening applications and the device comes with enough for 40 complete applications.

While we love the stylized design, the cool blue optics (reminds us of those club-goers glow sticks of yesteryear!) and the pain-free results, are you daring enough to power it up, place the control around your neck and go about your business at the office?
