John McCain caught in $520 Ferragamo loafers—he's just the kind of guy the upscale retailer is targeting
John McCain, moments after he received the bill for his $520 Ferragamo shoes.
Although many Americans are struggling with $4 per gallon gas, higher prices across the board, and a worsening recession, John McCain seems to have no struggle when it comes to which shoes to wear. The Huffington Post pointed out that McCain has been spotted at numerous events with a pair of $520 black Salvatore Ferragamo Pregiato Moccasins.
Ferragamo? McCain? Really? We were thinking more along the lines of Botany 500. Nonetheless, we happen to have checked out the Ferragamo Web site, and looked at the men's summer 2008 collection—turns out it's true, McCain is a Ferragamo man.
