What Hillary Really Learned in the White House
The real experience Hillary Clinton gained during her years in the White House has finally been revealed: she learned, just like her husband, how to manipulate words to cover up her lies.
Just as Bill used "It depends on what the meaning of the word 'is' is" in front of the grand jury to mask his lies about Monica Lewinsky, Hillary is now using "sleep deprivation" and "misspoke" and "it proves I'm human" to soft sell her hyperbolic tale of ducking sniper fire in Bosnia. I can't wait to see the video showing what she was really doing in Ireland when she claims to have been "deeply involved in the Irish peace process" (a claim that David Trimble, who received the Nobel Peace Prize for his actual involvement in the effort, called a "wee bit silly").
Do we really want to subject ourselves to this verbal abuse for the next four years?
I'm glad Hillary, when presented with irrefutable video evidence, finally admitted she "made a mistake" about her trip to Bosnia. I just wish she would also finally admit she was wrong about her vote authorizing the president to go to war with Iraq. There is plenty of irrefutable evidence of that too.

All that anyone feared Clinton would be has come forth in spades.
What part of this outrageous lie and her below the belt, gutter tactics don't people understand? What has anyone NOT learned about the Bush years, and the Clinton years before them, that they are ready to sign on for four more years of secrets and lies and manipulations? Corporate hand feeding, revisionist history and "it's always all about Hillary" maneuvering?

I do not understand your justification for Hillary Clinton telling lies, especially as they were not necessary.
We are in a terrible, expensive war in Iraq BECAUSE A PRESIDENT OF THE US LIED TO US about WMD.
THAT is why Hillary Clinton's habitual lying is important. We do not need another president that will stand behind a podium and lie to the press and the American public.
We deserve better than that!

Please show a list of politicians in and out of the White House that hasn't lied and hasn't misrepresented his or her role in any number of matters.
No one likes to be lied to or mislead but it happens daily in blogs, papers and sacred places all over the world. Here's an example..."They have weapons of mass destruction"..."Our soldiers are coming home"..."It will be over as soon as it starts"..."We the people..."
Regardless of political, religious or moral belief, if you think that people leading anything in this world for the sake of all of us, are incapable of editing the truth to get further ahead, gain trust or send our country to war- I feel sorry for you.
So, you think we should just turn a blind eye to all that lying? You don't think it's a problem?

Playing loose with the truth is an undeniable pattern with Hillary.
She does a terrible disservice to women and to feminism with this lying. Imagine if, instead of practicing what the military calls "valor theft" Hillary had told the truth and said:
"When I went to Bosnia, I went as the wife of the President and did all the things a president's wife does - attend a short greeting ceremony, shake a lot of hands, visit our peacekeeping soldiers.
But what we don’t see are all of the conversations that go on between first ladies and heads of state. These conversations make a substantial contribution to the dialogue and provide many opportunities to gain information and skills. I learned a lot about what was really going on in Bosnia on that visit. And I learned a lot during every trip I made."
That is the truth. So often, our society dismisses the roles that women play because there is a man in front of her. We see it over and over again, throughout history, in Science, in Art, and everywhere in between.
Instead of becoming a champion of the contributions women in her situation make, instead of enlightening the country about the role she really did play, she lied.
Very, very sad. It makes me think, as I often have about Hillary, that underneath all of the tough feminist role-playing, there sits a person who is ashamed to be a woman.
That, and "The Iraq war vote was not a vote to go to war with Iraq". Edwards admitted he was wrong to have supported the Iraq war - Hillary won't.
She will admit no wrongs. After 7 years of one who admits no wrongs, I've had enough.

If we have gone 'scorched earth on Hillary, perhaps it's because she has gone 'scorched earth' on Obama. All the innuendos and all the praising of McCain, for starters. And the contempt: Obama's experience "is a speech he gave in 2002". It wouldn't shock me to learn that Hillary is behind the Jermiah Wright thing---but even if she isn't, she has treated Obama like dirt, while he has shown her respect, calling her an admirable candidate, this just yesterday.

the scenario: bar room brawl with 8 men and a woman. the punches are swung, the epithets fly, the bottles are thrown, the men are mostly careful not to hit the woman but every now and then the woman takes a hit... what does she do after willing walking in and joining the fight?
she cries foul, accuses the men of picking on her because she is a woman and cries.
Obama has been whining and crying about race for the last 3 months, and the media laps it up. Why shouldn't Hillary do the same thing with gender now? Because the Obama people will start whining and crying that she's not playing fair and she's got that big bully Bill backing her up.

Darlin, she was the pres' wife for 8 years, she didn't have security clearance, she didn't solve the troubles in Ireland, she didn't come under fire and solve the problems in the balkens. As the pres' wife she didn't add jobs, she didn't have experience as the pres but rather as first lady. That is not a dishonorable posityion but it is not president. Any more than being married to a top scientist makes you Stephen Hawkings. Marriage just is not that sort of qualification. she has also been running for president when a relatively new senator. Her main problem ,however ,is that she LIES.

Obama has never made himself out to be the Black candidate and tried to stay away from the issue until Bill, Bob Johnson, Sheheen, etc, started talking crap before South Carolina. Yeah, let's talk experience Rich. Obama has 50 percent more elected legislative experience than Hillary and has passed much more substantive legislation as a senator in half the time in the U.S. senate. Please name me one substantive piece of legislation that Hillary has AUTHORED and had signed into law. Finally, a Hillary sock puppet goes on the record as counting her years as first lady as experience suitable for the presidency - what a crock. So should Laura Bush be forming her exploratory committee for her run in 2012? You know she has just as much first lady experience as Hillary. Too bad she doesn't have all that experience under fire though. She would be unbeatable in 2012 with just a little foreign policy/sniper fire experience.

What has she done in the senate? Voted for war in Iraq. Voted to make it harder for people to declare bankruptcy. Oh, and named some post offices...

It is so hailarious, no pun intended, that the same people that were swinging from the Clinton's junk a few years ago, now act as if they never liked either of them at all. Simply halarious as they fall for the flavor of the month again.
Excuse me, but Clinton never got 50% of the vote either time (Perot) and Hillary won't either.
I voted for Perot twice, and wish he's won.
I really think that at this point, Dems have to start considering a third candidate, someone who can unite, even if imperfectly, Democrats. I think the supporters of both HIllary and Obama will resent bitterly the other one winning, but I think while they may grumble a bit initially about a third candidate, in the long run they will realize it is the best option, and will feel better and far more enthusiastic about the campaign.
Please do the math. Neither candidate can win the general election. Who cares which is the nominee if either is going down to defeat against McCain?
There are, I think, three potential draft candidates who could unite the party. algore, Edwards and, as a safe but boring choice, Joe Biden.
I want to ask Democrats this then. Suspend for a moment your hope and belief that your own candidate can win both nomination or election. If you support Hillary, could you support a ticket with Obama as VP and one of the above three named as President? . And if you support Obama, can you accept a solution which does not give your guy the nomination this time around, but sets him up for one or two terms down the road?
Both are damaged good. Either of them at the top of ticket, because of the damage done and that will be done, spells crashing defeat in November. When will Dems see that?
Hillar isn't going to concede the nomination to a third candidate any more than she will concede it to Obama.
The mistake Hilary made was forgetting that the media records these events. The mistake America might make is putting her in the White House after she shows us her regard for the truth.
I was in Bosnia around 1994 as part of a group. The group's bus drove along various roads winding up some steep hills. At one point, we heard a series of automatic rifle shots being fired nearby (like 100 feet or so) . It was in celebration of a wedding. But it increased our awareness of what was going on in a war zone. Further evidence of the war zone could be seen by the mutiple bullet holes in the nearby homes in some of the Bosnian vilages.
But I never thought that I was being subjected to sniper fire. And I did not have 50 American solders standing around me.
The best quote I heard about Hillary's boo boo was an airforce officer saying that when Hillary landed at the Bosnian airport, not even a bee was nearby.

Re 50 American soldiers: There was an armored division of 4000 troops and 40 tanks surrounding the base, along with Navy Seals and Secret Service. There were attack helicopters and F-18s in the air. The security was total. In Clinton's admission of a "misstatement" (a self serving and inaccurate interpretation ) she continued to lie about the surrounding details like the cork-screw landing, the flack jackets, and the moving of the ceremony off the tarmac, in spite of the fact that all this information is now readily available.
Anyone with any common sense, knows she is a full born liar since Arkansas, if the truth is known, she taught Bill and Chelsea how to lie. This gal lies and does not pay her bills, she's white trash that jumped on a coattail and has been riding it ever mile of the way.
She grew up around the big boys at Wal-mart. They liked her, and so do a lot of Wal-Mart shoppers.
