Happy 2009!

Earlier this week, I offered my list of all the things that happened over the last twelve months that I'd love to forget, and asked you to remember any that I might have forgotten.

You responded with a fantastic collection of unforgettable Things to Forget. Here are our favorites. Let's remember them one last time, then delete them from out internal hard drives forever -- collectively starting 2009 off with a clean slate.

Happy New Year!

I would like to forget that Goldman Sach's Paulson and the people who have created the financial mess are the ones in charge of trying to fix it. Hysterical!

I would like to forget that media made fun of any of the smart people who were warning about the economic problems coming long ago like Peter Schiff, Roubini, Turk, Jim Rogers, Ron Paul, Taleb, Jim Sinclaire, Shiller and many, many more.

I would like to forget 80% of MSNBC 80% of network news, 80% of the other media and the people who bought the Palin hype and voted for her.

I would like to see Huffington Post on my TV screen. I could just click the stories I'd like to listen to or the video's I'd I'd like to see. I would not have to deal with obnoxious "how do I look" anchor people.

Arianna, since it is a new year can we cease to see or hear about any and all of the Palin family. There is no news there. I don't want to see their pictures on the news page.

Happy New Year to all...

Never forget, our future is in OUR hands....

Never let the fascists subvert your government again. Our New Year's resolution is to DO something next time(because it will happen again) and not just sit on our arses and whine online...

I want to forget FOX constantly claiming they're the most watched news on TV. They're the most popular CABLE news. They clock in at 3.4 million viewers.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/10/23/cable-news-ratings-return_n_137300.html

Meanwhile Off-cable:
http://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/09/arts/television/09swee.html

NBC Brian Williams: 9.6 million PER EPISODE
ABC Charles Gibson: 8.9 per episode
CBS Katie Couric: 7.8 million per episode

Can we PLEASE stop accepting FOX lying about how popular they are?

Any of the three network anchors are more than twice as popular. Combined, it's 26 million viewers compared to 3.4 million. Add CNN and MSNBC, and 30 million people are NOT FOX zombies compared to 3.4 who are.

Enough FOX mythology. The hubris and arrogance, entirely misplaced anger, it's like FOX is someone's rejected stalker:

Can you IMAGINE Brian, Charlie, Katie, Tom Brokaw, George Stephanopoulos, Bob Schieffer, Ted Koppel, Jennings, Russert, Cronkite, Brinkley... any of them acting the way FOX anchors do... having to defend their reporting?

After October 1929, many of the New Year's celebrations occured anyway. With consternation, the people followed through with their party plans. Then 1930 came with huge layoffs and 31 and 32 followed getting worse and worse.

We are on the precipice just like the New Years celebrators in New York on Dec 31 1929. The economy will continue to worsen at least through 2012. Millions of home loans with low teaser rates will be resetting. Resets peak in 2011. That means the housing market and financial instutions can not begin to recover until 2012.

Its beginning to look alot like DEPRESSION

The last party is over

How about both Hillary and Bill both saying that Hillary and McCain were qualified to be commander in chief but all Obama has is a speech?

Now for what we will want to forget for 2009. In 2009, Coleman will steal the Minnesota senate election by rejecting all absentee ballots in Democratic areas while Franken lets all the votes be counted in Republican areas. The senate seat in Illinois will remain vacant, and the two lost senate seats for the Democrats will make a big difference as senate Republicans will fillibuster every legislation proposed by Obama. In 2010, Republicans will win the Illinois governorship and Obama's senate seat. The economy will continue to collapse in 2009, but will turn around in 2010.
