Tomorrow at 11 am ET, HuffPost will host a live chat with Said T. Jawad, Afghanistan's Ambassador to the United States, who has watched the struggle firsthand. To take part in the discussion, please send your questions, along with your name and town, to live@huffingtonpost.com between now and the start of the chat. Six years of bloodshed in two countries and still nowhere close to closure. No Osama. No end of al Qaeda. Close to a new war in Iran. No
new troops to replace the exhausted ones.
No real leadership, at any level.
A bunch of politicians jumping ship.
A lot more focused only on getting elected.
I am definately depressed.
"Soldier once warned family: Investigate if I die "...turns up dead!
"What seemed a joke at the time could have been eerily prescient as Durkin, a National Guard specialist, was found dead, shot once in the head, within the fortified walls of Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. The Pentagon is releasing no details aside from confirmation that Durkin's was a "non-combat" death."
"She was in the finance unit and she said, 'I discovered some things I don"t like and I made some enemies because of it.' Then she said, in her light-hearted way, 'If anything happens to me, you guys make sure it gets investigated,'" Durkin's older sister, Fiona Canavan, told The Patriot Ledger. "But at the time we thought it was said more as a joke."
The family told Television interviewers that they didn't believe Durkin killed herself because she seemed upbeat on a recent trip home. Only hours before her death, Durkin left her brother a cheerful voicemail and sang happy birthday to him, the family told ABC News.

I'm wondering if those voices in our beloved leader's ears aren't telling him he needs to start yet a third war. Invade Afghanistan, obliterate Iraq, destroy Iran, the little voices in his head repeat over and over and over....
I think the biggest questions remain centered around why we went into Afghanistan in the first place:
Why after six years we (the NATO alliance and the Afghan government) have we been unable to catch Osama Bin Laden? What is it going to take to make this happen? Do we need to enter the Northwestern Frontier Territories in Pakistan to get OBL? Will a concerted bombing campaign, ala Kosovo, smoke OBL out?
It is time to wrap up and
finish the works...do not forget,
bringing the troops back, does not
mean the war is over.

For all people that care about the troops, vets and anyone who has paid his dues for this great country, understand the record of Rush Limbaugh during crises. He had a IK war ememption for of all excuses a polyp in the most obvious place below the waist for this biggest mouthed aXXXXXe. It was treatable but he never chose to do it and he was only examined by his own personal DR. What a man...
I would say let's re-establish the draft and bring an end to a lot of the baloney involved in the senseless , concocted killings .
So...this Sunday marks six years since the U.S. invaded Afghanistan to topple the Taliban and root out al Qaeda. And in Iraq, the brilliant Cheney Bush Corporation has spent upwards of $400 BILLION to kill an estimated 20,000 "terrorists." That comes to $20 MILLION per dead terrorist. WAY TO GO!
Yes, and remember, that $400 billion to kill the "terrorists" was our hard earned tax money. Afganistan is a disaster because Bush and Chaney "Do it on the cheap." They paid the Northern Alliance the big bucks and now Afganistan is the largest herioin producer in the world, thanks to Bush/Cheney, their brilliant "business" plan of "doing it on the cheap" and looking the other way at the reality of what the Northern Alliance really is.
