The votes have been tabulated, the jury has spoken, and the prize winners have been selected (all without the help of PriceWaterhouse, Diebold, or Jo-Ellan Dimitrius). And the landslide winner of the Huffington Post's February Contagious Festival is... Dick Cheney!
Well, the shotgun-toting VP was actually just the subject matter of both winning entries.
The real winners are Vance Lehmkuhl, who takes home the People's Choice award for his "Quail Hunting with Dick Cheney", and Paul Hipp, recipient of the Jury Prize for "Cheney Plays Folsom Prison".
Together, the two entries were watched by over 600,000 people. Vance and Paul will each receive a check for $2,500 -- and will be having a victory dinner with me this later this month. Nice work and congratulations them both.
If you want your chance to win, take heart: both February winners entered the contest after the 15th of the month. That means you still have time to enter and win the March contest. You can enter here.
And if you just can't get it together for March, a new contest will be starting in April.
