I am delighted to announce HuffPost's 2010 Game Changers -- 100 innovators, mavericks, visionaries, and leaders who are changing the way we look at the world and the way we live in it. Whether standing front and center in the spotlight or working under the radar, they are having a game-changing effect on their fields -- and inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.
Innovation has always been part of HuffPost's DNA. So we're pleased to recognize those who are pushing the envelope. Our Game Changers operate in multiple worlds but, whatever the arena, they share a common trait: a willingness to look at things and take the risk of saying, "I think I have a better way."
We are honoring Game Changers in 12 different categories: Politics, Entertainment, Style, Tech, Business, Travel, Green, Sports, Food, Education, Media, and Impact (where we salute those changing the game when it comes to philanthropy and service).
To salute these Game Changers, we've put together slideshows giving you the lowdown on who we picked, why we picked them, and how they are changing the game.
But that's just the beginning: now it's up to you to vote for the Ultimate Game Changer in each category.
Click on a category below to see the slideshow and cast your vote! Then share your picks with your friends -- see if they choose the same Game Changers as you.
We'll announce the 12 Ultimate Game Changers after the voting closes in mid-October. So check out our selections and cast your vote. Make sure your favorite in each category becomes an Ultimate Game Changer.

this site is really great..The articles here are very useful.I am interesting in it!
As you go through each of those you will see that all of my picks are women and I have included comments on each page to explain my choices. But let me explain the "Why" of my gender bias.
In the partnership that is the basis for the success of the human species, women have always been the nuturors of the next generation to the extent that it is now firmly written into their DNA. What this means for today is that women are specifically focussed on the future, whereas men are fixated on the next hunt, the next kill - a decidedly limited point of view. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would rather be guided by a woman for the future.
Unfortunately, women are a resource that is sadly lacking over much of the globe and that is another change we desperately need.
Obviously a very interesting thinker - able to summarize and consolidate the issue as she sees it from her Post position. I was pleased to see that the middle conservative - or middle liberal is not dead in publicly expressing views and opinions. This type of forum and open debate is necessary for this country to get back on its feet. As she said – this is neither about conservatism nor liberalism – it is about keeping America competitive on the global scale and responsive to the changing world.
Building the middle class is historically how equality and progress grows in a society - when the middle class shrinks - the society loses on all levels.
Her book is easy to read - it is written in journalistic style - plain words - easy for the everyperson to understand.
Maybe AH was tired last night - she certainly has a busy schedule. Her delivery was rather low key. She perked up on the question and answer session. Either way she is worth listening to - reading her book and certainly debate what she has to say with friends, relatives and anyone that wants a better America.
Arianna, please keep education, growth of the middle class and citizen responsibility on the front page.
I also would like to say that all of these candidates are fine choices to consider. These candidates are in the mainstream of America and in a choice position to influence others on a daily basis.
They can influence millions of people in ONE DAY.
I would like to see them direct their collective attention on the American Economy. I believe it is the single most important issue today.
Without JOBS, the America I was born into and greatly supported will become the last chapter of a fairy tail.
I'd like to see all of these candidates assisting improvement in the American Economy by encouraging and supporting Small American Businesses. Find a Business you like and make a direct investment. Stay out of the stock market - this is not a direct investment.
Look for opportunities that will pay you profits, interest and dividends for return on investment (aka "R.O.I.") on a weekly, monthly and/or quarterly basis. You will be making an investment that will have the greatest impact in not only worthy businesses, but also in your financial gain.
Growth in jobs for Americans will stimulate spending. Investment in American Businesses will generate creation of new goods, products and services, allow for hiring employees, purchases of equipment and raw materials and further stimulate the economy buy distributing profits to investors.
