As the end of my glorious week at the DNC loomed on the horizon, I could plainly see a colorful crescendo. Delegates channeled their enthusiasm and the spirit of the moment more than ever into a resounding display of "Obama Drama." From 3D nail art with patriotic razzle-dazzle to oversized shawls with photorealistic images of President O., the message was loud and clearly creative. Strikingly partisan headpieces created millinery magic and designer sneaks shouted "go bold or go home."

As the best parties went on into the night, it was quite evident that the ever-chic, always appropriate LBD (little black dress) ruled the night. Statement necklaces and bold platforms (of the fashion kind) completed the look. The scene was sensational.

Meanwhile, the gentlemen at the President's acceptance speech could have written "the guy's guide to looking great." Lose any worries you may have had about the demise of the suit. Sartorial savvy was at its very best. Slim fit, dapper and dressy was the order of the day. A rich burst of color at the neck and a bold-patterned dress shirt, and WOW!

After all, the first family has raised the bar quite high!
