Coulter's updated smear: Dems are pro-rapist party

After losing her column at more "respectable" conservative places, hate-monger Ann Coulter has found a home at Human Events to offer her bile and attention-seeking attacks on liberals. I assume she still gets her columns syndicated at newspapers eager to pander to hard-line kooks. But Human Events, an aging relic of the Red-bashing days, is glad to offer her a chance to provide such choice comments as these, in her article, "Party of Rapist Proud to Be Godless" :

First of all, I'm getting a little fed up with people trying to make money off my book. Worthless little cable TV shows with teeny-tiny audiences, ridiculous legislators and tabloid newspapers are all trying to make a name for themselves off the profundity of Godless.

Second, let's pause for a moment to observe that two facts are now universally accepted: Liberals are godless and Hillary's husband is a rapist.

My book makes a stark assertion: Liberalism is a godless religion. Hello! Anyone there? I've leapt beyond calling you traitors and am now calling you GODLESS. Apparently, everybody's cool with that. The fact that liberals are godless is not even a controversial point anymore.

There's no point in referring her to Jim Wallis' book, God's Politics, or Dr. Martin Luther King's writings. (Of course assorted rape and sexual harassment allegations made against Clinton have never stood up to scrutiny, although he admitted giving misleading testimony in the Paula Jones case and his womanizing history is widely acknowledged.) Like the Holocaust deniers and neo-Nazis she is starting resemble (and no doubt appeals to), reason or evidence never works with them. Marginalizing them does.

Since so few Republicans are willing to openly criticize her after she smeared 9/11 widows, how can progressives use Coulter to discredit hard-liners and make her become, along with Bush, DeLay, Bob Ney and Jack Abramoff, the face of the GOP?
