Even with holiday parties in full swing, the New York artworld does not rest. This week we highlight a few gallery soirees, openings and screenings to check out - if you can!

Drop into the Flux Factory silent auction tonight and pick up some original works or 'made-to-order knockoffs.'

From shows featuring major post-war painters and sculptors, to experimental installations that allow you to play and interact, there's plenty to see on the island. If Brooklyn is more your scene, group shows at the Black and White Project Space, the Hogar Collection and Splatterpool artspace are showing a body of diverse work by up-and-coming artists from the US and abroad.
