HuffPost Premiere: "Solid As Barack"

Six months ago during a concert in LA we turned the mike over to the audience and "Solid as Barack" was born! At Feinstein's in New York Stephen Holden reviewed us for the New York Times mentioning it. Saturday Night Live then aired a fun version and we figured it was time to embrace the idea with a real tribute with lyrics for Barack.

This is awesome!

I fondly remember the original Ashford/Simpson song, and I'm thrilled with their remake. I've written a lot of song parodies over the years, and Obama inspired me to write my most recent one. Sung to "O Christmas Tree," It's called "Obama Please."
"Obama please, Obama please...eliminate bureaucracies.
Obama please, Obama please...restore our goodwill overseas.
Deliver us from ignorance and foreign oil dependence.
Obama please, Obama please...make changes through good policies."
After seeing the inauguration, I'm feeling pretty confident that Obama, with our help, will make my wishful lyrics come true.

I absolutely adore this couple, and love their music!

The CD put out with Maya Angelou I loved, but was never able to purchase. I hope you guys get the radio play and in-store promo you deserve. Thank you for so much great music and fun times in my life, and I'm wondering where's the portraits of you two -- the attic? LOL

The song can be summed up in one word: HOPE. With Obama we have hope for today and for the future. He inspires such confidence in himself, his team and our ability to organize and be the change we want to see. We are the change we have been looking for. Make a difference. Start today. Go online and donate to your community's local food bank. Nothing is worse in this economy than to be unable to buy food for your family if you pay the rent. This is something we can all do today if we are fortunate enough to still be earning a paycheck.

I am an old A & S fan from way back and they sound just as great as ever. For a theme song all campaign long, I was really lovin "Something About the Man". It was smooth like Obama's style. Check it out if you haven't.
