Ahmed Salah

Ahmed Salah has been an activist and member of Egypt’s protest movements since 2001. He was a founding member of Kefaya (the Egyptian Movement for Change) in 2004 and served as a member of the Coordinators Council. He also co-founded and coordinated the youth protest movement Youth for Change.

In addition, Salah was the co-founder, strategist, and foreign affairs representative of the April 6 Youth Movement and a principal organizer of the January 25 revolution. He is currently the Coordinator for the Coalition of the Committees for the Defense of the Revolution in Egypt and working to found an NGO, the Activism Research Center, in the U.S. to help activists worldwide in the struggle against tyranny. He is also the recipient of the Center for Justice and Accountability’s 2013 Champion of Justice Award.
