Alda Sigmundsdottir Wordsmith. Plus a whole lot of other stuff. But mostly wordsmith.

Alda Sigmundsdottir is a writer, journalist and translator. Born in Iceland, she lived in Canada, Cyprus and Germany before moving back to Iceland as an adult. As the Associated Press correspondent she has written a number of articles about her country's political and economic crisis. She also writes regularly for The Guardian's Comment is Free. Alda is the author of two eBooks: Living Inside the Meltdown, the first book to address the experiences of normal people during Iceland's economic collapse, and The Little Book of the Icelanders, on the quirks and foibles of the Icelandic people.
