Allegra Panetto

International Development Specialist

Allegra is an international development practitioner and Masters candidate with 5 years of experience on international donor-funded projects, including two years of field experience in Malawi and short-term assignments in Zambia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Macedonia, and the Philippines. Allegra began her career as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi, working at a rural community health center and secondary school. She has a B.A. in Human Rights and Russian Regional Studies from Barnard College. She is currently a Master's candidate at Duke's Center for International Development, where she is studying the intersections of international development policy, conflict resolution, transitional justice, and inclusive peacebuilding for marginalized populations.
