Allison Mack

Actress

Allison Mack is known to most people as Chloe Sullivan, the spunky, feisty sidekick to Superman on the TV show Smallville.

She began her acting career at age four when her mother decided to nurture her dramatic flair and instinctual love for people by introducing her to acting. Throughout her childhood she worked on numerous films, TV shows, and made for TV movies and was able work and learn from such great actors as Sissy Spacek, Estelle Parsons, Mary Tyler Moore, Aidan Quinn, Charles Durning and Eugene Levy.

All this work lead her to her role on Smallville where, over the course of a decade, she learned about kryptonite, The Justice League and all things DC. While she did not obtain an official college degree, her unconventional education as a television actress lead her to an acute awareness of the responsibility she took on in being a part of such a widely-viewed show and about the power and influence of the media. She also was honored to try her hand at directing two episodes and this inspired her to move into producing and directing other projects.

Since Smallville ended, she has been studying Shakespeare with The Public Theatre in NYC so can be found crossing the Brooklyn Bridge most mornings looking slightly insane reciting verse. She is currently playing another quirky, smart and strong woman on the FX show Wilfred, only this time she has traded in her suits and computers for a lab coat and some microscopes.

Allison is developing herself as a writer and filmmaker utilizing her website to share thoughts, insights, and ideas (allisonmack.com). When she is not working in media she is actively helping to build a women’s organization called Jness, which seeks to change the global perception of women through introspection, community and friendships. In everything, she seeks to create a more humanitarian world.
