Alton Abramowitz

Alton Abramowitz is the president of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), which is comprised of the top 1,600 matrimonial attorneys throughout the nation. He is also a Fellow of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML) and is a Diplomate of the American College of Family Trial Lawyers, which limits its membership to 100 attorneys from across the United States. In addition, he serves on the Matrimonial Practice Advisory Committee at the Judicial Institute of the New York State Office of Court Administration. Throughout a four decade legal career in the New York metropolitan area, Abramowitz has earned widespread recognition as an accomplished matrimonial lawyer and a leader of the state’s domestic relations law bar. He currently practices divorce law in New York City as a senior partner of Mayerson Abramowitz & Kahn, LLP.
