Amir H. Fallah

Contributor

Amir H. Fallah was born in Tehran, Iran in 1979. He received his BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2001 and his MFA from University of California Los Angeles in 2005. His artistic practice encompasses painting, drawing and sculpture-- all united under the umbrella of Fallah's playful, brightly-colored signature aesthetic. His works address a nexus of idiosyncratic topics, culling influences from personal narrative, art history, and imagined experiences alike. Throughout his body of work, humor and a joyous reverie at life's sometimes ironic and erratic nature pervades. Amir has exhibited both nationally and internationally. Exhibits include shows at Weatherspoon Art Museum, The Sharjah Biennial, Baer Ridgway Exhibitions, Cherry and Martin, 31 Grand, The Third Line, Traffic, Western Projects, Frederieke Taylor Gallery, Frey Norris Contemporary & Modern, Mary Goldman Gallery, and at LA Louver Gallery. He's currently working on a body of work for a solo exhibition at Frey Norris Contemporary & Modern in 2013 as well as a solo show at The Third Line Gallery in Dubai.
