Anita started her production career in New York City in the early 80’s. Her keen eye for talent earned her the Casting Director title at one of the largest advertising agencies in the world. She left to raise her children Alexandra and Michael in Rye, New York with her husband Michael. During this time Anita sold luxury real estate and built a Greek diner in honor of her late grandfather on Cape Cod, MA. When she was approached to cast a movie in 2007, she ended up receiving a co-producer credit and earned the nickname “the fixer”. Once the children left for college, she and Michael moved to New York City where Anita went to work for Michael Mailer Films. Her passion is finding new talent and she now has six shows in development.

During this time her son went through three sports related surgeries and became addicted to pain pills. Once he finished treatment, they decided to write a book together as mother and son to help other families dealing with addiction. The book is being pitched with a literary agent while the screenplay is being written. The project is endorsed by the Caron Treatment Centers.
