Antara Afrin

I may be short, but my personality doesn’t fall short. (Neither does the smile that’s always on my face.) Hey everyone, I’m Antara, a senior at Cass Technical High School. I am a 4’11” girl with big aspirations. Even though I’m very futuristic, I focus on one day at a time and make the most out of it. Most of my time is spent serving my community in various ways. I have lived in Detroit, Michigan all of my life and absolutely love it here. As someone once said, “ Detroit is big enough to matter in the world, but small enough where you can matter in it." I want to attend University of Michigan -- Ann Arbor and major in either Chemistry or Neuroscience (yes, I’m still contemplating). Since I basically live off of creative writing, journalism will be my minor for sure!
