Antony Osso is a documentary and narrative filmmaker and screenwriter. His full-length documentary "Pizza Shop: An Italian-American Dream" celebrates the immigrant story of his Italian family and the pizzeria they’ve run for 40 years. It's currently playing festivals. His short film series "The Devotion Project" (2011-2013), which chronicles thriving LGBTQ couples and families, has been viewed over 900,000 times on YouTube and earned him a spot on the OUT100, Out Magazine’s list of the most compelling LGBT people. The not-for-profit, crowdfunded short docs have screened at over 55 festivals worldwide and garnered 15 awards. He’s also developing a TV show based on his feature screenplay "Pin Down Girl," which was inspired by the true story of a lady wrestler in the 1950s. His first two short films as writer/director, “Stand By” (2003) and “You are such a blindfold” (2005), screened at over 25 festivals. He holds a B.F.A. in Film and Television Production from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts and lives in New York City.
