Aric Almirola is the driver of the No. 43 Ford for Richard Petty Motorsports. He will launch NASCAR's Operation Inspiration campaign to thank, honor and support military families in partnership with Eckrich and Operation Homefront.
Aric was born in Eglin Air Force Base in Pensacola, Fla. The Cuban-American driver grew up in Tampa, Fla., where his father worked as a firefighter after having served in the Air Force. Aric’s grandfather brought his family to the United States on the Freedom Flights from Cuba in search for better opportunities for his family. Aric realizes that those “better opportunities” available in America are tied directly to the sacrifices of our brave servicemen and servicewomen.
