Steve Andrews is an author, singer-songwriter and naturalist.

Born in Cardiff in South Wales, Steve Andrews lived for over 20 years in the Ely housing estate, where he was given the title Bard of Ely by Big Issue magazine when he was a columnist for the publication. Besides being a writer, he is a singer-songwriter and poet, so the description was apt. He lived in Tenerife for many years but is now based in Portugal. He is the author of Herbs of the Northern Shaman and Herbs of the Sun, Moon and Planets, both published by Moon Books. Steve has contributed to many publications, including, Big Issue, Prediction, Kindred Spirit, Welsh Coastal Life, Permaculture, Living Tenerife and Mediterranean Gardening and Outdoor Living magazines, as well as the Tenerife News and Tenerife Weekly newspapers. As a musician, he has appeared at Glastonbury and the Green Man Festivals, and was an MC for the Avalon Stage at Glastonbury for two consecutive years. In 1998, he worked as a TV presenter for two series of the magazine In Full View on BBC Choice, and he has appeared in many more television shows. Steve has a lead role in the film Savages in Foreign Lands, directed by Raphael Biss. The movie has been shortlisted as a nominee in the Vaasa International Wildlife Film Festival.
