Tim and Laura Battersby are The Battersby Duo. They are a musical comedy team for children and families. Sesame Street calls them a “Top Notch Duo.” They have performed for The President and First Lady on six separate occasions at The White House, and were nominated for a GRAMMY award in 2011 for their album Sunny Days. The following year they won a GRAMMY as contributing Artists, performing on the GRAMMY winning album, All About Bullies Great and Small. Senator Bob Graham calls The Battersby Duo “A National Treasure.” They’ve performed at many prestigious concert halls in their career including The Kennedy Center in Washington DC, River Run Center in Ontario CA. and The Straz Center in Tampa FL. The American Library Association calls them, “A Banquet of Silliness designed to please the most refined of Juvenile Palates,” while Fred Rogers of Mr. Rogers Neighborhood says” We will remember with pleasure that The Battersby's are a part of our neighborhood." The Battersby Duo have written and produced 10 children’s albums including their latest CD,” Too Too Sillies.” They are currently contributors to The Huffington Post, where they write a column in the Arts and Culture section on Independent Artists, in addition to the occasional political satire.
