Bernie Saunders is an awakener. He received his first camera from his father when he was in junior high school fifty years ago, and has been exploring the essence and beauty of nature and life ever since. He is a visual storyteller. His artwork can be found in hospitals, clinics, corporations, and in private collections. Bernie has exhibited his work in dozens of galleries and art festivals, and his artwork has been displayed at the Minnesota State Fair. He is renowned for his Soul of Flowers series, which reveals the inner world of flowers. The images are his attempt to capture nature's elegance in a way that encourages people to align and balance themselves with nature's beauty and power. Bernie co-authored, with his poet mother, Kay Saunders, the book The Grace of Ordinary Days, which invites people to enrich their important relationships.
