Blair Christie

Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Cisco

Blair Christie is Cisco's Chief Marketing Officer, with responsibility for the company's Global Marketing, Corporate Communications, and Government Affairs groups. Cisco integrated these groups in 2011 to oversee a holistic marketing approach and brand strategy for its highly recognized brand. Her organization is responsible for positioning Cisco's growth strategy, cultivating opportunities in new and existing markets, and growing demand for Cisco's solutions globally.


Christie's position incorporates the responsibilities of her previous role as Senior Vice President of Global Corporate Communications, which includes Cisco's global activities in investor relations, media relations, industry analyst relations, and employee and executive communications. She also manages Cisco's global studios and Web 2.0/collaboration technology strategy teams, which rounds out an organization designed to innovate the message and the medium in communications.


Previously at Cisco, Christie led the global investor relations team, where she and the organization received numerous industry awards.



Prior to joining Cisco, Christie held several roles in investor relations, government/public affairs, and corporate giving efforts at InterDigital Communications Corporation, Aqua America, and PECO Energy.


At Cisco, Christie is an Executive Officer and sits on Cisco's Operating Committee, the 12-member leadership team responsible for setting the corporate strategy, goals, and annual targets for the company. She also serves as a board member of the San Jose Tech Museum, sits on the President's Leadership Council at Drexel University, and is a member of the Arthur Page Society. She is recognized as one of the top marketers by B to B Magazine and was named by Forbes Magazine as one of the 2012 Top 20 Most Social CMO's in the Fortune 100. In 2009, Christie was named by Working Mother magazine as a Working Mother of the Year.


Christie holds a bachelor of science degree in marketing and business administration and a master of business administration degree, concentrating in investment management, from Drexel University.
