Bridgit Mendler

Bridgit Mendler stars as Teddy Duncan, a typical teenage girl who's enlisted to help care for her younger sister when she can, so she turns the experience into a video diary for the child with tips on how to withstand the household, in Disney Channel's Emmy Award-nominated comedy series, "Good Luck Charlie."

Mendler is a Hollywood Records musician, singer and songwriter whose single, "Ready or Not," has gone Gold, selling over 750,000 copies. Additionally, the video for the single has over 21 million online views. Mendler also performed and co-wrote the 2011 Disney Friends for Change anthem, "We Can Change the World."

In 2012 Mendler was named Common Sense Media's 2012 "Role Model of the Year." The awards honor innovative minds from the worlds of entertainment, public policy and technology for kids. Mendler was recognized as a champion for how to be a responsible citizen in a 24/7 digital world.

Mendler's television credits include the Disney Channel Original Movie "Lemonade Mouth," as Olivia White, an introspective lead singer and songwriter, as well as a recurring role as Justin Russo's vampire girlfriend, Juliet Van Heusen, on Disney Channel's Emmy Award-winning "Wizards of Waverly Place," and a guest-starring role on the hit series "JONAS," where she sang opposite Nick Jonas. Feature film credits include a starring role as Becca Kingston in "Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel" and the voice role of Arrietty in "The Secret World of Arrietty."

Within a few weeks of deciding to pursue acting, Mendler landed a guest-starring role on ABC's long-running daytime drama, "General Hospital," and later had roles in "Alice Upside Down," "The Clique" and ABC Family's "Labor Pains."

She first caught the acting bug at age 8 while attending local acting camps in the San Francisco Bay area. Her early experience led to local roles in both dramatic and musical theatre, and she eventually became the youngest performer in the San Francisco Fringe Festival. Soon she was dabbling in voice acting, which led to roles in the animated feature film "The Legend of Buddha" and the video game based on the comic book series "Bone."

Born December 18, 1992 in Washington, DC, Mendler graduated from an online high school through The Education Program for Gifted Youth at Stanford University. She takes classes at USC and in her spare time enjoys dancing and songwriting
