Carlos Holganza

Carlos Holganza is a recently retired development-oriented military officer whose approach to national security and other work-related issues is progressive, non-traditional, bold. Has had 38 years of dedicated, distinguished and professional military service. Has had extensive work with both the government and private sectors, particularly in community development, disaster resilience and environmental sustainability. Created a new company, SoftPower Philippines, which aims to help address the twin global concerns of poverty and environmental degradation. Also works as sports columnist for Sunstar Davao, aside from doing occasional articles for Manila Bulletin Sports Digest and www.rappler.com.
