Novelist, 'Perla' and 'The Invisible Mountain'; co-producer, 'Afro Uruguay: Forward Together'

Carolina De Robertis is the internationally bestselling author of the novels Perla and The Invisible Mountain, which have been translated into 16 languages. She grew up in a Uruguayan family that immigrated to England, Switzerland, and California. She is the translator of various works of Latin American literature, and co-producer of the documentary-in-progress Afro Uruguay: Forward Together with her wife, Pamela Harris. She is the recipient of numerous awards, including Italy’s Rhegium Julii Prize and a fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts.
