Carsten spent 12 years with DaimlerChrysler AG across various geographies and functional areas such as logistics and finance. The last 3 years he managed the corporation’s regional HR activities for Asia out of Beijing. As Chief Human Resources Officer of the World Economic Forum (WEF), Carsten had the exceptional opportunity to interact with many top leaders from politics, business, civil society and academia during the Annual Meeting in Davos or while working on multi-stakeholder projects such as „Talent Mobility“. His role as the lead of the WEF’s think tank “New Models of Leadership” gave him unique insight into the area of leadership and further developed his thought leadership. In 2013, Carsten left the World Economic Forum to found CircularSociety, cultivating a new approach to leadership and innovation-ability. Fusing his business experience and his insight in the leadership domain he consults and trains organizations in the areas of • leadership and talent development, • change management, • innovation and • economic sustainability. In 2016 he joined the board of management of Von Rundstedt Switzerland where he consults top executives across industries in career matters. Carsten is a business school faculty, teaching a cutting edge eMBA program on leadership, he is member of several advisory and supervisory boards, a TEDx speaker and has lived in 8 countries on 3 continents. He frequently gets invited to corporate and public events around the world to inspire his audiences.
