Chermerdene Jordan has had a diverse career in communications in the travel and healthcare industries. As the marketing landscape became more diverse the lack of culturally relevant information and education for consumers and patients in the inner-city became more acute. To this end, she, along with a partner formed a company to help healthcare clients and their new ‘consumers’ talk to each other and find ways to create bridges.
The strategies they created for programs such as hypertension, HIV/AIDS and Teen Pregnancy brought residents together with clients for the first time. The community had found its voice and clients accomplished their goals.
Chermerdene is an active member of the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW).
