Chris Bearde is one of America’s premiere creative producer/writers. His career began in Australia where he grew up hosting his own children’s television show. In Canada he wrote and created the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s first late night political satire show Nightcap, a forerunner to Saturday Night Live. He was one of the 13 original writers on the Laugh In series. He wrote the 68’ Presley Comeback Special and wrote and produced the Andy Williams Show, The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour and specials for Jim Carrey, Steve Martin, The Jacksons, Bob Hope, Lucille Ball, Dinah Shore, Diana Ross, The Osmonds and Bill Cosby. He created the format for “The Gong Show” and Puttin’on the Hits and created and produced the HBO first political news show Night Rap plus Showtime’s controversial comedy series Sherman Oaks. He is currently involved in his company’s development of the first “International Comedy Hall of Fame”. He has won an Emmy, a Writers Guild award and a Golden Rose award for comedy from the International Montreux Television Festival.
