Cynthia L. Cooper is an award-winning journalist, author and playwright. She is the co-author of Cheating Justice: How Bush and Cheney Attacked the Rule of Law, Plotted to Avoid Prosecution – and What We Should Do About It (Beacon Press 2012), written with Elizabeth Holtzman. Her six other books include Mockery of Justice: The True Story of the Dr. Sam Sheppard Murder Case (Penguin, Northeastern Univ. Press). Her plays include “Silence Not, A Love Story,” published by Gihon River Press, “How She Played the Game,” published by Brooklyn Play Publishers, and “Words of Choice” in “Front Lines” by The New Press. Her articles have appeared in the Nation, Women’s eNews, In These Times, Ms., On The Issues Magazine, Marie Claire, Glamour, The National Law Journal, FAIR Extra!, The New York Law Journal, Poz and other publications.
