Daniel M. Davis is the author of 'The Compatibility Gene' which has been widely acclaimed and was picked by Bill Bryson as a Guardian Book of the Year. He is a Professor of Immunology at the University of Manchester, UK, and Visiting Professor at Imperial College London. His work has helped establish new concepts in how immune cells communicate with each other and how they detect signs of disease in other cells. He has published well over 120 academic papers and is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences, UK. Prof. Davis gives regular talks at science, literary and music festivals.
