He has held executive and technology leadership roles at IBM Research, such as leading a global team of scientists in 12 laboratories who are focused on accelerating transformation of the energy industry through breakthrough science and the systematic application of the latest advances in information technology. Dr. Gil is the creator and Founding Director of the Smarter Energy Research Institute, an international collaborative research consortia focused on advancing the utility of the future through the use of predictive analytics, optimization and advanced computation.
