David Sobotta

David Sobotta has been involved with computers since 1982, and is the author of "The Pomme Company," a story based on his career at Apple. David graduated from Harvard with a liberal arts degree and promptly decided to build a cattle operation in Atlantic Canada. Eleven years later in 1982, after selling his 200 head of red and black Angus, David got his first computer, an Apple II+, and started writing a newsletter for the local Angus Association. That computer got him involved with a company which opened five of the first retail computer stores in Atlantic Canada. After that David worked at Apple from 1984 until 2004. Since Apple, he has worked as a vice president at a couple of technology related firms. He also spent time as an evangelist for the National Lambda Rail and its next generation ultra-high speed networking platform. For the last few years, David has been walking the beaches and fishing the waters near Emerald Isle, North Carolina, where he chases sunsets and birds with his Nikons and lives with his wife, Glenda. He has also published a guide to the area, A Week at the Beach, an Emerald Isle Travel Guide. You find links to his photography through his Crystal Coast Life blog.
