David Stevens

Music and wine enthusiast

A Midwesterner by birth, David Stevens hails from Minot, North Dakota. David migrated from the cold winters of Minot in 1975 and headed straight for San Francisco where he worked for 20 years and dreamed of being a rock n roll star. In 1995 he began his work in Napa Valley at the acclaimed Tra Vigne restaurant. It is here at Tra Vigne that his important relationships and friendships with the winemakers and vintners in Napa Valley were forged. His passion for people, wine and excellence in customer survive led him to open a wine shop in 2003 after his work at Tra Vigne. In 2009 David and his wife Monica decided to combine their synergistic businesses of wine merchanting and concierge services and enthusiastically opened up 750 WINES –- an underground wine shop for the wine consumer seeking the inside track on small production, artisanally crafted wines. www.750WINES.com
David’s passions are wine and music of all types. He plays bass with his wine industry friends in the beloved Napa Valley rock 'n roll band, WRISTROCKET band and enjoys playing acoustic duo events with his brother Paul. David & Monica live in Napa Valley with their two Great Pyrenees and St. Bernard rescue pooches.
