DAVID V. PICKER is a third generation motion picture executive, as well as an Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe nominated producer. After graduating from Dartmouth College, he joined United Artists Corporation and was named President in 1969.
He was responsible for bringing to the company films such as TOM JONES, the JAMES BOND series, the WOODY ALLEN movies, The Beatles’ A HARD DAY’S NIGHT and HELP, MIDNIGHT COWBOY, LAST TANGO IN PARIS. Among the many European filmmakers he brought to United Artists were Federico Fellini, Ingmar Bergman, Francois Truffaut, Louis Malle and Sergio Leone.
As an exclusive Producer for United Artists he delivered LENNY starring Dustin Hoffman, directed by Bob Fosse (nominated for six major Academy Awards), SMILE directed by Michael Ritchie and JUGGERNAUT directed by Richard Leste
