Christie’s Deepanjana Klein, has attended the India Art Fair since its inception five years ago. Klein is a double threat on the art scene: a Ph.D. in Indian Art History from De Montfort University in England and the auction house’s New York-based Modern and Contemporary Indian Art expert. Just as interest in Asian art and Brazilian art grows alongside the new prosperity of the countries, the market and appreciate for Indian art has exploded. As the head of the annual New York sale, Klein keeps an eye on artists both emerging and established.
