Donna Marsh O'Connor teaches writing and rhetoric at Syracuse University. She is currently at work on two books about the loss of her daughter on 9/11/2001--one is a series of interconnected essays (several of which have been published in literary journals) that attempt to bring Vanessa back if only on the page, the second is about the dogs who aided in her healing.
