Douglas Kellner is a media and cultural critic who holds the distinguished George F. Kneller Chair in the Philosophy of Education at UCLA's Graduate School of Education & Information Studies. His work explores the pervasive power of media and popular culture and the relationship between technology, education, and society.

He was awarded a Fellowship in 2003–04 from the prestigious Sudikoff Family Institute for Education & New Media at UCLA, which supports the public engagement of outstanding education and information studies scholars.
