Professor Rustum Roy is one of the world's most distinguished and honored materials scientists. He has been elected to the five National Academies of Science/Engineering of the most significant technological countries -- the U.S., Russia, Japan, Sweden, and India. He founded both the Materials Research Laboratory and the Science Technology and Society program at Penn State University, both of which became national and world leaders in their fields. He was the principal architect of the Materials Research Society, as the world’s leader in interdisciplinary research.
He describes himself as a citizen scientist, as his activities cover not only the physical sciences but national science policy and especially the interface between religion, science, and human health.
Author of over 1,000 papers and books with major discoveries in materials synthesis, his latest work has been the definitive research on the myriad structures of water that has destroyed the 200-year-old myth that original water cannot be changed. And, incidentally explains the past, present and potential healing properties of water -- and with it the core critique against homeopathy.
For the last 20 years he has spent half his time bringing together the many different groups representing the world’s wisdom on the healing of the body, mind, and spirit under the banner of the non-profit Friends of Health.
Friends of Health, the 501©3 he founded, has for the last decade worked assiduously to bring together, to network, and to collaborate in all ways possible the major national bodies or institutions representing providers, researchers, and journalists concerned with any aspect of whole person healing, integrative healing, complementary alternative medicine or related terms.
Prof. Roy is also the Host of Whole Person Healing via Body, Mind and Spirit -- a worldwide live Internet talk radio show on the Health & Wellness Channel of VoiceAmerica™.
