Director of Government Relations, Alliance to Save Energy

Elizabeth Tate is the Alliance’s Director of Government Relations, with a focus on federal legislative advocacy. Prior to the Alliance, Elizabeth served as Government Affairs Manager at the American Public Gas Association (APGA), where she handled all federal legislative and regulatory work pertaining to energy efficiency and climate change matters. She joined APGA from the House of Representatives’ Committee on Science and Technology, where she was Committee Counsel. Elizabeth began her career as an attorney at the law firm of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York City, representing clients on commercial real estate transactions and various environmental and land use matters. She holds a B.A. in History and Psychology from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania.
