Elizabeth Anne Westling is currently an Independent Scholar in landscape design and history. She received the Valedictorian Award in both Landscape Design and Landscape History at the Landscape Institute of the Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University in May 2008. She received her Master’s Degree in Renaissance and Reformation History from U.C.L.A. in 1972 after graduating with a B.A. degree in the Humanities from Scripps College in Claremont, California in 1969. Ms. Westling was born a U.S. citizen in Zurich, Switzerland, in 1946.
