Ellen Breslau, Editor-in-Chief and Senior Vice President of Grandparents.com, is the former executive editor of Woman’s Day magazine, the nation’s seventh largest magazine with over 4 million readers. In her role there, Ellen oversaw the editorial direction of the magazine, “elevating the ordinary” and making it a must-read for American women. In her position she also led the editorial team integration of womansday.com, as well as worked on other Woman’s Day brand extensions. Prior to Woman’s Day, Ellen was founding editor and editor-in-chief of For Me, a fun and engaging lifestyle magazine geared to younger women. Before launching For Me in 2005, Ellen served as senior features editor at Woman’s Day; a senior editor for Design Times, a high-end interiors magazine; and an editor for eight years at Glamour magazine. She has freelanced for various publications including InStyle, Bride’s, Glamour and the Bottom Line.

Ellen is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and was a member of the American Society of Magazine Editors. She is a member of the corporate advisory board for the National Alliance on Mental Illness and was a 2001 National Fellow at the Casey Journalism Center on Children and Families, She has served as a Big Sister, volunteer English teacher through a Columbia University program for inner-city high school students, and sat on the New York steering committee of the Hebrew College. Ellen resides in Manhattan with her husband and two children.
